Hawk is the operational accounting partner for property management companies. It was built from inside the problem it solves, by operators who have run these books themselves.
David Lyons built Hawk after living the problem from the inside. He's a real estate investor himself, and at a property management company that ran its books through an outsourced provider, he watched the gap between in-house and outsourced accounting stay too wide: in-house is expensive and hard to staff, and outsourced is disconnected from how the business runs day to day. Hawk closes that gap, running the function with the discipline of an in-house team and the leverage of an outside one, proactive enough to resolve issues before an owner has to ask. The aim is to become part of a company's core infrastructure, the accounting function it can run the business on.
Hawk's accounting team is 70+ professionals who work exclusively in property management, so the people on your books already know trust accounting, owner reporting, and the places the numbers tend to break. The team is backed by US-based leadership and support, and Hawk operates as a fully remote company.
Hawk is part of Ledger Collective, a group reimagining the business back office by combining specialized service companies, shared technology, and the right people into one connected system. For Hawk and its clients, that means real technology and resources behind the service, the support of a larger organization, and a broader network of professionals than an independent firm could offer.
